Tapcard · Tap N Go

When cash ran out, we made bus fares tap-and-go.

Late in 2018, cash shortages made boarding public buses difficult. Matsimba responded with Tapcard, an NFC payment system that introduced Zimbabwe's first digital cashless fares for public transport. Passengers top up at Tapcard agents across the country, straight from their bank accounts, through our partnerships with several banks.
